LEOMINSTER, Mass., November 25, 1998 -- Fosta-Tek has added new capabilities to its machine shop operation thru the purchase of a ProtoTRAK two-axis CNC. The PROTOTrak will provide Fosta-Tek with additional machining capabilities for building tools and inserts with complex contours and pockets. The enhanced CAD features and automatic tool path generation provide for an improved interface with Fosta-Tek Engineering. Secondary milling operations of plastic components are enhanced by the Automatic Corner Radius programming and the Backlash and Error Compensation features.
